The MONA Foundation, recognized in 2001, acts as a rescue and rehabilitation center for primates, near Girona in Spain. It rescue and treats animals from illegal trade and abuse, offering them a space of natural life, closer to their needs.
Rainfer is a rescue center which was founded in 1995 in Spain to protect and rehabilitate primates from illegal trade, entertainment (circuses, advertising, photography), neglect or maltreatment.
Easy Horse Care Rescue Center
Located in the province of Alicante, in southern Spain, the backup center, created by Sue and Rod Weeding, handles more than 90 horses, ponies and donkeys, recovered from abuse or neglect. It also rescue dogs, cats, parrots, chickens, geese, turkey and pork.
The Andalusian Horse Rescue Centre was created in 2009 by passionate in order to make the prevention and protection of horses, ponies and donkeys. A volunteer group works daily to protect animals from suffering and neglect.
The Bottlenose Dolphin Research Institute (BDRI)
The Dolphin Research Institute is a center that is dedicated to research, education and conservation of marine species and their environment. Originally founded in Italy in 2005, the center was finally installed in the south of Galicia in Spain.
The Association for the Protection of Wild Animals is a non-governmental organization founded between 1980 and 1983. In 2008 it was recognized as a charity and it work for the protection of wildlife, for the preservation of natural heritage and to defend rights of users of nature. It conducts information campaigns to mobilize public opinion and challenge the elect.
Sauvegarde Faune Sauvage
The association was created in 1993 by Jean-Paul Burget, it main missions are the protection of nature. Its activities are multiple and actions are carried out in France and Africa, especially in Cameroon and Chad.
The association exist since 1980 for the promotion and protection of fauna and flora. It has set two objectives: education and saving thanks to the Accommodation Centre for Research on Nature and the Environment.
Refuge de l’Arche
In a land of 15 hectares, the refuge is managed by the CEPAN Association (Club for the Study and Protection of Animals and Nature) and has nearly 1,500 animals, divided into 150 different species. It rescue wild animals found sick or wounded, and which after being cared for, are released into the wild. Only too human dependent animals are kept.
FERUS (“what is wild” in Latin) was born in 2003 from the merger of Artus (association founded in 1989 advocating for the protection of the brown bear) and the Group Loup France (association created in 1993 with the appearance of first wolves on French territory). It acts for the wolf, the lynx and the bear conservation in France.
AVES France is an association for the protection of nature and wildlife of general interest, which was created in 2005 by Christophe CORET. It fights for the protection of bears and wolves, for the protection of nature and wildlife in France and support the conservation and rehabilitation programs in the world.
Founded in 2006 by Dr. Jacques Bonvoisin, the association create in 2011 650m² aviaries, and incorporates local rehabilitated early 2014 in order to look after the local wildlife. The association welcomes, cares for, rehabilitates birds and small wild mammals in distress. OISO also aims to raise public awareness and school.
The Tichodrome is an association that was created in late 2005, to achieve a new rescue center for wildlife in Isère. The Tichodrome is federated in the French Union of backup centers (UFCS).
Oiseaux Nature is an association created in June 6, 1980 by Samuel Audinot. It fights for the protection of the environment in all the Vosges, compliance with laws, studying the fauna and flora of the Vosges, informs and educates young and old nature.
LPO : Ligue de Protection des Oiseaux B
One of the first tasks of the LPO is to help wildlife in distress, including birds, whether oiled, injured, too young or abnormally weakened. LPO, founded in 1912, has set up rescue centers to collect the animals, where they are supported by competent teams.
One Voice’s work is based on investigations carried out in France and abroad, as well as on scientific reports. In 1998, the LAF-DAM (antivivisection League of France – Defense of Animals martyrs) merged with the Association to become Aequalis Talis. In 2000, the name of the association changed, Talis has become influential One Voice.
Robin des bois
The Association acts for the protection of human and the environment in France and in the world. It participates in the fight non-violently to stop animal cruelty, to defend endangered species, to preserve plant biodiversity and natural areas.
Volontaires pour la nature (A pas de loup) V
Founded in 1994, Volunteers For Nature (formerly A Pas de Loup) is a 1901 law association approved Youth and Popular Education. Volontaire pour la Nature aims to enable the public to take action and contribute to the protection of biodiversity, with a tool: ecovolunteering.
Mille Traces B V
Miles traces was founded on 1 December 1992 with the objective to develop environmental education and action for the protection of nature based on scientific and naturalistic knowledge.
SOS Grand Bleu
SOS Grand Bleu was founded in 1989 by the Mayor of Saint-Jean-Cap-Ferrat, René Vestri. The association aims the development and encouragement of all efforts to protect the flora and fauna of the Mediterranean, more specifically the species threatened by the development of human activities on sea or on land such as dolphins and whales.
Laissons Leur Peau Aux Animaux (LLPAA)
The LLPAA is an association created in July 2013 by animal protection activists. LLPAA focuses on the defense of animals used for their skin to supply consumer goods (fur, leather, feathers, down, wool and silk).
Sur les traces du Loup
It is a not-for-profit organization which works with the global public to protect endangered species. It collaborates with other associations working for the conservation of species and is committed to any action to protect the environment and the animal world.
A group of organizations created in 2014 that come together to act in favor of protecting the wolf, to ensure the presence of the species in France and to allow cohabitation between the wolf and human activities.
The French Society for the Study and Protection of Mammals is a network of volunteers that works in partnership with associations, administrations or scientific organizations to protect and know Mammals, to raise public awareness of their diversity and their role.

Picardie Nature is a regional federative association of citizens that intervenes for the protection of biodiversity by participating in education and awareness in Picardy and acting for the preservation of endangered species and environments.
France Nature Environnement V
The French federation of associations for the protection of nature and the environment. It is the spokesperson for a movement of 3000 associations, grouped in 80 member organizations, present throughout France and overseas.
Les Amis de la Terre V
The federation is an ngo created in 1970 that acts for the protection of human and the environment. It participated in the founding of the environmental movement in France and in the formation of the global ecological network Friends of the Earth International.
A not-for-profit association whose purpose is to educate the environment, to participate in the realization of scientific studies on natural heritage and to raise awareness of sustainable development.
Réseau Action Climat France (RAC-F)
RAC-F is an association created in 1996 that deals with climate change. It is the French representative of Climate Action Network International, a global network of more than 700 organizations whose goal is to encourage governments and the general public to take action to limit the impact of human activities on the climate.
Grupo Lobo V
Grupo Lobo is an independent non-governmental organization founded in 1985 by Francisco Petrucci-Fonseca to protect the wolf and its ecosystem in Portugal.
Secret World Wildlife Rescue V
Secret World, founded in 1992 by Pauline and Derek Kidner, is an uninterrupted day and night rescue center, taking care of more than 5,500 wounded, sick and newborn animals every year.
British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR)
BDMLR is an organization created in 1988 following the seal mortality in the East Anglia region. It dedicates itself to the relief and well-being of marine animals in distress around the United Kingdom.
Vale Wildlife Hospital V
The Vale Wildlife Hospital was established in 1984 as part of a family in the village of Cropthorne in Worcestershire. It is a center of care and rehabilitation based on education and support programs.

The organization cares and rehabilitates animals in order to allow those who will be able to survive in their natural habitat.
Folly Wildlife Rescue V
In 1994, Annette Risley, the founder of the Rescue Center, realized that there was an important need for nature protection and thus set up the Folly Wildlife Rescue. Each year, around 3,500 wild animals and birds injured, orphans, sick or in distress are admitted to the center and receive veterinary care.
Tiggy Winkles V
The Tiggy Winkles Hospital, established by Lee and Sue Stocker, has been providing veterinary care to animals since 1978. They include a call center available to provide help and advice to individuals and to veterinarians.
HART Wildlife Rescue V
HART Wildlife Rescue is a wildlife hospital created in 1996 by June and Bob Gibbs, located in Hampshire. It provides care and rehabilitation services for animals in the area. The organization also provides assistance to veterinarians and individuals and endeavors to discuss its experience with students.
Cuan Wildlife Rescue V
Emergency center created in 1990 open continuously in Shropshire. It works with the rescue, care and rehabilitation of wild animals and sick, injured or orphaned birds.
Hedgehog Rescue V
The Hedgehog Rescue takes care of about 700 animals each year. It cares for the care of wounded, sick or orphaned hedgehogs, rehabilitates them and makes the general public aware of their decline.
The Wildlife Haven
Rescue center founded in 2008 by a family in northern Yorkshire. Since its opening, the center has taken care of more than 5000 animals coming from the region.
Badger Trust B
Badger Trust promotes the conservation and welfare of badgers and their burrows and habitats to the general public. They support about 60 volunteer groups working to protect the badger and provide advice on the issue by working closely with government, police and other organizations.
Born Free Foundation V
The Free Born Free foundation was founded in 1984 by Bill Travers, Virginia McKenna and Will Travers. It acts to protect the wildlife of the world. An emergency team is responsible for rescuing used and caged animals to bring them a better life in a large natural sanctuary.
OneKind, based in the United Kingdom, aims to put an end to the suffering of animals in and around the country. The organization works through research, education and awareness-raising campaigns.
Cetacean Research Unit (CRRU)
The CRRU, the Cetacean Research Unit, has been involved in marine life support since 1999. It operates through an uninterrupted emergency response system to protect sick and injured cetaceans in Scotland. It participates in particular through research and education programs.
Scottish SPCA V
Each year, the SPCA Center treats and rehabilitates thousands of wounded, sick and orphaned wild animals. It encourages the general public to stop cruelty to animals through investigations and education programs.
