A day dedicated to animals since 1931
In 1931, the World Animal Day was established during the international congress for animal’s protection in Florence, and this day was not randomly chosen. In fact, the 4th of October is also the Saint Francis of Assisi’s day: the founder of the Order of the Friars Minor who was considered an enthusiastic, passionate defender of animals. The World Animal Day is celebrated every year at the 4th of October ever since.
World Animal Day 2018: Protect species
The point of this day is to send a message of respect to animals, wild ones as well as domestic ones, all around the globe. In such a hard time for them, it is an opportunity to remind that the animals have the right to live and that it is our duty to protect them. It is especially a chance to send a strong, community message, bringing all the populations around the world together for the same cause.
EVI is proud to take action for the animals’ preservation and well-being every day and thanks and supports each one of you, who takes action on your own scale to speak for the ones who cannot.
Have a Wonderful World Animal Day 2018!
